More
about Nature’s Rules
Let me explain more
about some of the rules set up by nature.
We are all products of nature.
Thus it makes sense to follow nature’s rules. Some of the obvious rules of nature include
sunrise to bring the daytime, sunset to bring the nighttime, 24 hours in a day,
4 seasons (spring, summer, autumn, and winter) a year, etc. According to nature’s rules, ordinary people
would sleep at night and wake up in the morning, taking in nutrition (by
eating) and excreting the toxic materials (by urine, feces, and sweat), wear
appropriate clothing according to the weather, and becoming older year by
year.
Microscopically,
our cells/organs work in similar way. Once new cells are produced, they take in
nutrition and excrete the waste out of the cells/organs; they grow and age as
time goes; they produce the next generation; they die when time is up. All microscopic cell behaviors follow
nature’s rules (the cell cycle).
What
Zhong-Yong means is to follow nature’s rules, not too much and not too
little. Wake up when it’s time to wake
up; go to bed when it’s time to sleep; take suitable nutrition to grow; go to
the bathroom regularly to discharge the waste materials from your body. If the
feces stays too long (over 24 hours) in the body, it will become toxic to the
body.
