Green Tea

Green tea contains a number of antioxidants, including falvonoids and polyphenols. Green tea is a very good source of catechins, which are flavonoids; benefits of flavonoids have been mentioned in a previous section.  

      Studies have shown that green tea prevents or slows down the development of cancer in liver, colon, and breast.  However, not all clinical studies showed the same positive effects. Some clinical studies suggested that in order to have certain beneficial effects against cancer, one may have to drink three to five cups of green tea a day.
