Ototoxicity
Ototoxicity is the toxicity on the function of
the ear. It can be caused by a number of chemotherapy agents and antibiotics.
The symptoms of ototoxicity include hearing loss, balance disorder, and ringing
noise. Some anticancer drugs, such as cisplatin, can cause damage of hearing or
even hearing loss.
